- Notes
-
The Sears Silvertone 1750 is an AC/DC operated 7 tube BC band receiver. Has push-pull audio output stage. Rectifier tube configured as voltage doubler circuit. Has internal switch that selects between AC and DC that connects speaker field coil before or after rectifier tube.
Original power supply circuit in this model would blow out the filter capacitors and the rectifier tube would have a short life. Changes documented in the Sears Service Information manual eliminate these problems.
See details and summaries about Sears catalogs etc. This model was manufactured for Sears by Colonial Radio Corp., Buffalo, NY (Sears Manufacturer Source Number Code 101).
