According to Sears ads September 1929 there are two different chassis for the Silvertone High Boy with two doors, stretcher and (then) a sales price of $ 110. One is a 7 tube screen grid chassis, presumably the model Silvertone 56 and the other a 8 tube Neutrodyne, presumably the model Silvertone 51. Mark V. Stein shows a model without stretcher for Silvertone 4130 #51 and 4132 #56 with a price of $ 125 on page 179, "Pre War Consoles". Price and picture are wrong. A two page ad in the September 28, 1929, issue of "The Saturday Evening Post" (page 105) states that Alexander Senauke designed the technology and Lorado Taft proclaimed "the New Silvertone a masterpiece in cabinet design!"
Order number 57V 4130 - 1/4 is with tubes, aerial and ground equipment, $ 100. 57V 4131 1/4 is with easy payment: $ 10 "down" cash and $ 10 per month until paid $ 110. The same model could be ordered with a transoformer for 25 to 30 cycles for the same price - which can be used in fact also for 60 cycles. See details and summaries about Sears catalogs etc.
