  • Notes
  • The Sears Silvertone 7061 is an AC/DC operated 5 tube BC band receiver.  Has 154 ohm resistor built into the line cord (curtain burner).  Has AC/DC switch on rear of chassis which allows the field coil of the speaker to bypass the regulator tube when operating from a DC source.

The chassis and schematic used in this model is also used in models 1700 and 7062. Riders Sears 4-1, 1 schematic is for model 1700 but Sears Silvertone Service Manual 1928 thru 1936 confirms that models 1700 and 7061 use the same schematic, thus Riders schematic is valid for this model.

See details and summaries about Sears catalogs etc. This model was manufactured for Sears by Colonial Radio Corp., Buffalo, NY (Sears Manufacturer Source Number Code 101).
