    Shure statement from 06/03/2001:

This microphone was an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) model. We made the microphone for another manufacturer. Information on OEM microphones is sketchy.
The CR81 was a Controlled Magnetic, high-impedance (14 kohm) model, light brown in color and made for Revere (Camera), the tape recorder manufacturer.
