    A B/C portable radio receiver having seven transistors and two germanium diodes, also one thermistor. Housed in a wooden carrying cabinet fiished in washable Vynex covering, available in colour combinations of blue/fawn, tan/beige, pink/grey, with gold trim. Escutcheon and knobs in cream. Features: inbuilt magnetic rod aerial. All-States dial; also included is set of four individual dials. Side controls: volume on-off, tone. Operates from one Eveready type 276P (9V) battery.

    The description of this portable broadcast receiver is similar to that of Model TR7180, Bulletin No. 136, with following exceptions:

    (1) The 1st I.F. Transformer is a single tuned transformer.
    (2) The 2nd I.F. Transformer is a double tuned transformer.
    (3) A ganged volume control is incorporated.

The date, 1958, looks early as the B7180DN is listed in Mingay's Price Service for Febuary 1959. The 7180/1 would, presumable be a lateriteration of this basic model. From a B/W 50X38 MM photo, the radios look identical.
