    The wavelength could be set from 100 to 260 metres.

    The first model produced was The Stirling Type 52 of which 1331 were produced.

    113 made by Stirling at a cost of 46 pounds 13 shillings. The remainder built by the War Department Factories at only 9 pounds 9 shillings.

    Improvements to this transmitter became this model and models 2 to 4, 3459 were produced.

    The difference between the Stirling 52 and later models was the fitting of a second coupling clip to the helix inductance.
