  • This is a more modern radio than either the 78T11 or 79T11 and cosmetically very different. It has a printed circuit board and a drive cord to the tuning capacitator and a remote tuning scale. Technically it is very similar but uses later transistors. It has a switch to select "Car" - using an external aerial and internal batteries - "Portable" and "Solar" which selects accessory solar cells. It also has a "Pickup" shown on the schematic which is not evident on my example.
