  • The Technics BS‑PS600 are compact dipole surround speakers designed specifically for rear‑channel ambience in home‑theatre systems. Sold as part of Technics’ BS‑PS600/BS‑HD600 component packages, these units were engineered to create a diffuse, non‑localisable sound field ideal for Dolby Pro Logic and early Dolby Digital installations.

    Each enclosure uses opposed driver arrays firing out of phase to produce a wide, enveloping acoustic pattern. This design avoids pinpoint localisation and instead simulates the reflected, ambient energy of a cinema surround channel. Though compact, the BS‑PS600 units are built with Technics’ typical attention to cabinet damping and driver matching.
