Has the ability to measure complex impedances over the range 1 milliohm to 1000 megohms whilst still in circuit.

Accurate to +2%, the B521 is a transformer ratio-arm bridge of advanced design intended for the rapid, direct measurement of virtually all components and networks in research or development laboratories, in the manufacture and servicing of radio, television, and electronic equipment,t and for a variety of industrial applications.

Employment of the transformer ratio-arm principle— affording 2, 3 or 4 terminal measurements—makes it possible to measure any arm of a delta network in the presence of the other arms. This means, in effect, that even when dealing with a highly complicated electronic chassis, it is no longer necessary, as it is with a conventional Bridge, to unsolder individual components in order to ascertain their true value. This facility is particularly important at a time when the printed circuit is coming into even wider use.

    10 measuring ranges each for:

    • Resistance 1 mΩ to 1000 MΩ
    • Capacitance 1 pF to 5 F
    • Inductance 1 µH to 500 kH
