Description

The American company Sears Roebuck, with its head office in Chicago, sold the standard range of American designed and made radio tubes from 1925. A few small manufacturers made these tubes and they are branded "WLS" (Worlds Largest Store). The company allotted each tube with a four digit type number. The company also sold regular branded tubes such as Radiotron, Cunningham, Solartron and Meteor.

This tube used as a supersensitive detector in amateur receiving sets.
