Description

VHF all-glass high-mu transmitting triode. Center tapped thoriated tungsten filament. Mu 50, 50W anode power, 125MHz. Five pin ceramic ring base; two plate caps. Dual grid and plate connections, out from top and from the five-pin dish base

Derived from the 356A, adding two connection in parallel for grid and for plate and reducing connection length and consequently size of the bulb to increase the operating frequency limits. Used in Bell VHF communication relays around 1940, or 1939 according to Lud Sibley.

Magers reports the use of 364A in 1941 in the AM radio link across Chesapeake Bay, providing 12 voice channels.
