Description |
Neon indicator bulb with spiral electrodes. Used in Tube filament continuity tester. Type 453. This tube is fitted with a B4 base but with one filament pin not in place. The elements (E) are connected to the normal anode and grid pins. The remaining filament pin is not used. Early version of the tube,c. 1924/25, had a tipped frosted glass bulb. Later version introduced in 1925/26 had a bakelite base. The tubes were made for use on A/C mains voltage of 220 and have an appropriate wire wound resistor in the stem.
