Mit einem Durchmesser von 22mm ist 6E2 um 2mm dicker als die EM87 und daher nicht immer als Ersatz für die EM87verwendbar.

Laut Datenblatt ist sowohl EM84 und EM87 bei Valvo und Telefunken maximal = 22,2mm dick.
