Description

CW / pulse magnetron for radar jammers. The device was designed for variable duty cycle and may be basically considered as CW. Integral magnet, coaxial output.

Derived from the CM16B S-band CW experimental magetron built at MIT Radiation lab. and described by G.B. Collins in Microwave Magnetron

Typical operation

  • Up to 2 kW input pulses, depending upon the duty cycle.
  • 125 mA at 1.5 kV input pulse
  • 50 to 70 W output pulses.
  • 2990 to 3330 MHz tuning range.
  • Pins 1 and 2 of the octal base are connected to the heater cold side
