Spark gap switch to be used as TR switch. Improved version of VI507, capable of 200 hours operation at 120KW. Electrodes were covered by ceramic sleeve and by glass bead all around the tungsten tip. A small amount of oxygen, 5%, in the filling atmosphere, reduced the recovery time to about 50 us.
The development of this switch was completed in September 1941.
