Greetings, A friend in Beirut has a 1961 Mercedes-Benz Type 180b with a Becker Mexico. It was working fine for years, but now it passes by all the stations/signals. He said, "All was working fine except that the "wonder bar" did not detect any stations. It kept going to the right, then rewinding, then back to the right, and never stopped until the radio was turned off." He just took it to a technician who replaced "a few capacitors", but the problem is the same. Can someone please advise me what to tell him to look at (which part of the schema, etc.)? This is the earlier Becker Mexico with the clockwork mechanism. Thank you,

Update: He replaced a 3 ohm resistor that measured 0 ohms and the radio is working again. No idea which resistor it was. Thanks for reading. Jeff |

Found it. Spare parts list says "2/10 MMF" (2-10 pF). |
