  • Canadian Westinghouse used the chassis 780 for several models.

    At present we know of two consoles:
    780-X with 4 horizontal bars and
    780-Y with 3 horizontal bars
    , Everything else is apparently the same.

    Plus three table models:
    780-A
    780-B and
    780-C

    The model 780-X is famous for being in the 1983 classic movie 'A Christmas Story' starring Peter Billingsly and Darren McGavin and is a radio much sought by collectors.
