  • This is a 16" mirror-lid Radio/Television. The style is Art Deco with figured wood veneers. The 16" CRT is mounted vertically and the electronics are carried on two chassis, the "A" chassis carrying the RF and audio sections (7 valves incl. magic eye) and the "B" chassis carrying the vision IF amplifier (4MHz), the time bases, the CRT EHT power supply (6kV via mains transformer) and the heater and HT power supply for the valves on this chassis. The "B" chassis is switched off completely for radio only reception.

    4601 is the 16” electrostatic CRT, the 12” version uses a 4602 electrostatic CRT.
