The GenRad Standard Signal Generator 1021-A family consisted of a metal cabinet with two plug-in modules. The left-side plug-in was the 1021-P1 Power Supply module, and the right-side plug-in was the desired VHF or UHF band module. There were originally two RF modules covering 50 to 920 MHz. The third RF module, 1021-P4, was released in 1955, as well as the updated 1021-P3B that expanded the lower and upper range covering 40 to 2000 MHz. Note that the Type 1021-A was only used in advertising to represent all the family models and was not an actual model.
