Community Radio Receiver transferred to the government of Greece from the US government agency Economic Cooperation Administration (ECA) in 1951 as part of the Marshall Plan. The treaty (TIAS 3050) for the transfer came fully in force on 18 August 1954.
This contract comprised of a total quantity of 929 sets. Each set consists of the Lorenz radio receiver itself, a gasoline operated motor generator, a microphone and two loudspeakers. Furthermore, replacement parts were associated.
Moreover, a quantity (81) of so-called R.T.A. radios with speakers and associated equipment were part of the contract.
