Philips model 614VN was manufactured in the USA shortly after the beginning of WW 2 and had the Dutch East Indies as destination.
Although Philips in the Netherlands continued manufacturing radios during WW 2, it was only allowed to export to German friendly countries (the former Dutch colonies did not have this status). So Philips outsourced production of radios with destination Dutch East Indies to countries like the USA and Australia, until the Japanese invasion in 1942.See also USA models 513AN and 518AN and Australian model 431AS.
