    The carrying strap is the aerial using multiple loops of PVC wire connected in series on the chassis.

    The top knobs are spring fitted and the wavechange knob has a grubscrew.

    Same case for 126 (1947), 136L (1948), 136S (1948), 236L (1949) and 236S (1949). The 106 (1946, more history) is the original version and differs in grill style.The case has a hole for the wavechange on the 136 and 236 models. The S versions (LW instead of SW) have the turns of the loop aerial in parallel and usually have an aerial and earth socket under the grill.

    x36L= LW and MW

    x36S= SW and MW

    The battery cover is held by two fasteners that only need a quarter turn. The LT is a D cell and HT is a Batrymax B101 / Mini-Max B 467 type pack.

The 106 has two bars on the grill, is MW only and has aerial and earth

The 126 and 136 look similar but the 136 has a wavechange knob for added SW or LW. The 236 models have the wavechange knob and the release catch for the dock visible at the front.

Only the 236 models have the docking port for the mains PSU, thus the tab at the front.

Some models aerial and earth sockets just under the grill, it may be models with SW?
