  • Anotaciones
  • The radio combination model "SABA 4000 Automatic Stereo / 11 Sonorama" has a wired remote control which directs a motor for tuning in the stations etc. The second short wave band is the marine band. The record changer is a DUAL 1006 AM with a transistor pre amplifier. It plays at 78, 45, 33 1/3, and 16 2/3 RPM. SABA-SONORAMA 11 is a built in reverberator. There is a compartment for a tape recorder. Some clients used for instance the portable Sabafon TK220-US Stereo. It may very well be that this model was sold later than the domestic one - we have no clear evidence yet for the selling seasons for this model and copied the domestic years.

Can a 6T8A be used in the motor section in this radio than an EABC80?

When I rebuild bridge rectifiers for German radios of this vintage, I use four 1N4007 diodes or a similar silicon bridge rectifier with four 0,0047 mfd snubbing capacitors, and one 100 ohm @ 10 watt power resistor.

Would this be the same case for this radio too?  I observed on the late Paul Pinyot's web site that he did not use a voltage dropping resistor nor did he use snubbing capacitors
