  • Notes
    • Very powerfull output with 2 tubes in push-pull and a 26 cm speaker behind an acoustic lens: around 10 Watt.
    • In this radio, the 6C5 tube acts as a dynamics expander to restore the original dynamic range of the sound. The dynamic range of the studio sound was (and is today) often compressed to avoid weak sounds to be inaudible or strong sounds to be overmodulated. A sort of Dolby NR. Quite a luxury in those days and even today not obvious. See pages sbr_837a_descr3 & ...4 in the 'documents' - 'all schematics' menu.
