Sony's first IC radio - see also Philips IC-2000 and Sony's ICR-200. 1 IC + 3 transistors. Built in rechargeable NiCad battery. Loudspeaker 40 mm x 25 mm. Cabinet is 50/50 metal and plastic. Battery is 2 x 1.22 volts ( in series) same as the Sony ICR-120.
CX-001 IC is used, incorporating 14 transistors (with four diodes) and 14 resistors. The radio is packaged in a matchbox-sized case weighing a mere 90 g, but large controls are provided. A keychain-like holder (ending in a medallion) is attached instead of a strap. The two-tone black and silver color scheme accentuates metallic body parts. A rechargeable NiCad battery enabled six hours of continuous playback on a single 14-hour charge. (The schematic shows IC CX 901 instead of CX-001).

Hallo
