• Bemerkung

• The model 80 is the domestic version. This is probably an early version with 78 as 1st det. The dealers brochure shows data and picture for this, but Rider's Sparton 5-15 etc. shows a 6A7 as 1st det. for the probably newer model 80 which might also have an other knob arrangement. There is also a model 80-X. Those 80 models offer 4 bands, from broadcast 540 kHz right through SW to 20 MHz. See the article here about season 1934/35.

  There are similar cabinets with chassis 83: one with the VisoGlo tuning indicator and the other without but in principle the same chassis.
