Großer Klapptrafo, also ein Spulenkoppler, aus der Zeit vor 1914. Diese Bauart wurde von Telefunken für Apparatetische, z.B. in Großstationen, und für Laborversuche geliefert. Beide Spulen sind auswechselbar. Das innere ist die Primärspule, sie hat einen verstellbaren Spulenabgriff. Das äußere, klappbare Element ist die Sekundärspule. Exakt diese Bauform findet man auch beim E5c. Sie hat drei Abgriffe, von denen zwei unterschiedliche Anzapfungen für den Detektor bei Primär- bzw. Sekundärempfang darstellen. Die dritte Anzapfung führt ggfs. zu einem Abstimmkondensator, z.B. C22V8.
