  • Notes
  • This is a combined valve emission tester and multimeter.  It has:

    Four resistance ranges plus leakage testing for paper and electrolytic capacitors;

    Four voltage ranges, AC, DC and output, 10, 100, 250 and 1000 V fsd.

    Four DC current ranges, 1, 10, 100 and 250 mA fsd.

    Valve emission testing: The main instrument has eight valve sockets.  Additionally, the lid contains a plug in socket board with provision for up to an extra 15 sockets.

    The instrument can be powered from the AC mains or from a 6 volt accumulator.  It uses a vibrator for 6 volt operation.  Three "D" cells are required for the lowest ohms range.

    This instrument resembles the Palec VCT externally, even down to the control and switch positions but the internal construction and circuitry are not the same.
