Riporto qui di seguito la traduzione del testo del signor Jacob Roschy riguardante la sostituzione della valvola 6BY8G, molto rara:

La 6BY8G è quasi introvabile, per questo in caso di sostituzione si deve ricorrere ad altri tipi:

EBL21: Questa valvola è molto simile alla 6BY8G, deve essere sostituita solamente la resistenza di catodo con una da 110ohm 0,5W. Deve essere  sostituito  pure lo zoccolo  che è  uno di tipo loctal, oppure usando un'adattatore loctal-octal.

EBL31: Questa valvola ha uno zoccolo octal, perciò puo  essere inserita direttamente. Sono diversi i collegamenti, che devono essere adattati. Elettricamente non corrisponde alla 6BY8G, usandola si ha una leggera riduzione della potenza d'uscita, si deve pure sostituire la resistenza di catodo con una da 150-170 ohm.
La EBL31 è trovabile solo in inghilterra, nel resto dell'europa è abbastanza rara.

EBL1: Questa valvola è identica alla EBL31 ha però uno zoccolo a vaschetta tipo P8. Per il resto valgono gli stessi criteri che per la EBL31.

Ersatz der Röhre 6BY8G.

 

Die 6BY8G ist sehr rar, so dass bei Bedarf eine andere Type verwendet werden muss.

Hierzu stehen die Typen EBL21, EBL31 oder EBL1 zur Auswahl.

 

EBL21: Diese passt elektrisch am Besten, nur der Katodenwiderstand muss auf 110 Ohm, 0,5 W geändert werden. Erforderlich ist der Austausch der Octalfassung durch eine Loctalfassung oder der Einbau eines Zwischenadapters Locktal auf Octal.

 

EBL31: Diese hat einen Octalsockel, man kann sie also direkt in dem Gerät einstecken. Die Sockelschaltung ist aber anders, es muss also umverdrahtet werden.

Elektrisch passt sie nicht genau, durch eine Fehlanpassung wird die Ausgangsleistung etwas verringert, außerdem muss der Katodenwiderstand auf 150...170 Ohm geändert werden.

Die EBL31 ist jedoch außer in England sonst in Europa kaum erhältlich.

 

EBL1: Diese ist elektrisch identisch mit der EBL31, hat aber den Außenkontaktsockel P8, der den Einbau einer entsprechenden Fassung oder eines Zwischenadapters erfordert. Es gelten sonst die gleichen Betrachtungen wie für die EBL31.
