VEL11 Tetrode curve families
Joe Sousa

Fellow radiophiles,

I took the following curve families from the VEL11 by Telefunken that came with my Grundig Gloria 51GW.

Tube emission seems pretty good because the power tetrode section is rated to draw 22mA with G1=-6V and G2=200V, and this specification point is met at the far right of the sixth curve from the top in the first plot.

The power tetrode section with 200V and 100V at G2

The detector tetrode section with 20V and 30V at G2

These curves suggest that the detector tetrode is constructed as a classic tetrode, while the power tetrode has no kink and has the sharp knee that is typical of beam tetrodes.

Best regards,

-Joe
