  • Notes
  • A stereo hi-fi preamplifier available in a nextel or carbon finish for use with the matching Quad 77 Power Amplifier or Quad 707 Power Amplifier.  Remote control operation is via the Quad 77 System Console which will also operate all Quad 77 Series system components. It is the heart of a Quad 77 Series system and can be connected to up to 32 Quad 77 source components via Quad's 'Quadlink Bus' using Quadlink connections. The Quadlink Bus handles power (30V AC for other Quad 77 components), Signal and Control functions. As well as a Quadlink system connector and an Ampbus connector for connection to the power amplifier, there are three Auxiliary phono input sockets with adjustable input sensitivities for other source components, phono inputs for tape and for MM or MC cartridge, phono output sockets for tape and for Pre-amp Out for connection to a non Quad 77 Series power amplifier. With an MM/MC selector switch, an unswitched AC outlet and a jack for recharging the 77 System Console battery.

    Features
    • Quad-link bus — up to 32 bus sources can be connected.
    • 3 auxiliary inputs and tape loop.
    • Moving magnet and moving coil phono input.
    • Adjustable input sensitivity.
    • Tone control, tilt, bass boost & cut, and filter.
