Philips hat mit der Fertigung von auf dem Philips 655A basierenden Verlagerungsgeräten Ende Oktober 1941 angefangen. Weil Ingelen seine Gehäuse zu spät anlieferte, wurde der Ingelen 342W erst ab 1942 gefertigt.
