I tested the tube in a Heathkit IT-17 emissions tester with the 6CW5 but with 50 volts filament switch setting.

This tube does not test properly as a 45B5 (from a 1972 Howard W. Sam's & Co., inc.,  Tube Substitution Handbook). The setting for the 45B5 are different than the 6CW5 and result in a false short indication.

According to the AVO valve data manual all these tubes should be tested with pin 1-6-8 not connected.  The use of these pins is  different by some manufacturers. Shortage may happen if one of these pins is connected to minus HT.
