Hello gentlemen,

It has been a while since I wrote to RM.org.  I have been talking up this site and sending people here for help.  It is nice to be back.

Any how....

I am aligning the FM section of an American Emud 60.  There is a problem with getting the proper alignment instructions for this three band (AM, FM, SW) unit.  I am using the Sams Photofact procedure from the Emud Junior to cross reference the test pins.

If you reference the schematic from the Emud Senior 60 (on this web site) the problem is with getting a DC zero voltage null with adjustment #21 at unmodulated 10.7 Mhz signal across test points B and C.

There also seems to be great interaction between adjustment 21 (null) and 19 (peak).

I am beginning to think that I am miss adjusting the unit or there is a bad component (EABC80 tube has been tested with a Heath Kit emissions tester).  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

It is 0008 in the morning.  So I decided to turn off the power in the shop, write this message and get some sleep.

Thanks,
Paul.
