Information Hans M. Knoll: Die EBF80 welche ab 1950/51 in Radios erscheint, findet man schon mit Daten 8.6.49. PHILIPS hatte einen TV-Markt in Frankreich, GB und anderen Ländern lange bevor
Deutschland für Philips ab Ende 1952 für den TV-Markt interessant wurde. Darum hatte Philips mit MULLARD, BRIMAR, CIFTE usw. Produktions- und Entwicklungsstandorte lange vor VALVO. Ein Datenblatt aus den Niederlanden vom 15.11.49 zeigt für das Modell TX400-A die Röhren EF80, EQ80, ECL80, PL81 und PY80.

Wir unterscheiden allerdings zwischen der Röhrenentwicklung und Vorserien für Schaltungs- und Modellentwicklungen von der Markteinführung, die wir festhalten (Produktionsserien auf dem Markt).

Variantes

The early Philips productions of noval tubes were run on the same lines already in use for rimlock valves. These productions are identifiable by the sharp and regular edge of the base, glass frit bonded or glazed to the body. Another peculiar feature of these tubes is that the electrode pack is firmly welded to some of the base pins, no large mica spacers pressed against the internal wall of the envelope.

Bernhard Nagel 27.Oct.08	2 Mullard/Philips Die Bauweise lässt m.E. nur den Schluß auf Philips/Mullard/Valvo zu. Es dürfte eine späte Ausführung der EF80 sein, erkennbar an der Getterplatte mit eingestanzten Vertiefungen. Trägt die Röhre seitlich in Sockelnähe noch die übliche Kodierung? Das wäre ein weiterer Hinweis.

Meine zwei "Ei" EF80 haben seitlich in Sockelnähe zwei Zeilen mit schwer lesbaren Zeichen: Obere Zeile etwa Lîc, darunter etwa A1l - das A ist auch als Dreiviertelkreis mit zentralem Punkt interpretierbar. Ich kann damit nichts anfangen. G.L.
