  • UK Market version of the German domestic version 2035 W/3D, made in Germany.
    Front controlled turntable ferrite rod antenna, bass & treble control, rear terminal for Grundig "Majestic Baton" cable remote control labelled ‘Emphasis’, DIN socket for tape in/out, 2 way sockets for Gram/PU and external speaker. Terminals for internal FM dipole or ext. aerials.
    3 dynamic speakers and one Electrostatic tweeter polarised by HT with a separate audio transformer feed.
    Separate AM & FM tuning cursors via single knob and AM/FM clutch arm.

    The AD key is momemtary operation. A light at the rotation knob for the ferrite rod is the only indication that the internal ferrite rod aerial is selected on MW or LW.

    Similar to later 3028W/3D/GB (in R&TVS) though it has no tweeter. The 2043/3D/GB is also similar but reflexs the 1st ECC85 section as an IF stage.

    A switch above the VHF aerial socket under the rear cover allows the VHF aerial active on all bands (4) or on VHF only (5). The VHF performance isn't affected.


    Differences to German Domestic 2035W/3D:

    • ECC85 instead of EC92, though the 2035WS/3D has ECC85
    • Extra 240 V connection and fuse holder position at transformer
    • Extra winding on mains transformer with switched 6.0 V 0.1 A lamp at aerial director to indicate AM (may be also switched by AD swtich)
    • English labels
    • 7 piano keys than 6: Off, PU, MW. LW, SW, VHF, AD. AD is ferrite /external switch for MW/LW
    • Coverage only 101 MHz on VHF

I have recently purchased this rasdio but don't have a schematic for it. If someone has it and/or the fact sheet I would like to obtain a digital copy. The radio came with a Majestic Baton. If it was plugged into the radio, is there a possibility that a fault in it could damage the radio circuitry?
