Below you find a part of the tube collection Jürgen Küting.

Nur wenige Worte reichen, mein Sammelgebiet zu beschreiben. Die Frage, warum ich alte Geräte und Dokumentationen aus dem Bereich der Radio- und Fernsehtechnik sammele, bedarf schon einer kurzen Erklärung. Als Meister im "aktiven Ruhestand" blicke ich auf 50 Jahre meines Berufslebens zurück, in denen ich im Lauf der Zeit - und Wandel der Technik, viele Geräte als "Patienten" auf dem Tisch hatte, die ich hier im Radiomuseum als begehrte Sammel-Objekte auf den Modellseiten und Fotos täglich vor Augen habe. Diese noch existierenden Geräte, gleich welchen Alters, zeigen den Stand der Technik im Jahr ihrer Herstellung. Das ist es, was mich interessiert - darum sammele ich alte Geräte, Service-Unterlagen und Hersteller-Infos. In meiner Sammlung ist die Mehrzahl der Geräte technisch überholt und vorführbereit. Sie dürfen ihr Alter zeigen, ohne aufwendige Schönheits-Operation. Da mich viele dieser Geräte auf den Stationen meines Lebens begleitet haben, werden altersbedingt kleine Fehler und "Spuren des Lebens" toleriert, damit sie noch weitere Jahre ihre eigene Geschichte erzählen können - aus der Zeit, der "Radios von Gestern"...
