Based in Bangalore, Karnataka, INDIA, I am collector of Vintage Tube Radios and have about 260+ sets. Keep looking for older sets and try to restore the sets to original state. Not REPAIR !! Restoration. I started to lookout for sets for collection. Mainly the rare ones. Now as on today I have 260+ Sets in Bangalore,. I have a nice workshop setup, and racks full of Vintage Radios. Presently My collection of Vintage Valve Radios is – 1) Westinghouse USA Model - M108. , Totally Copper Chassis, No Magnet on speaker, Primitive Tuning mechanism. 2) HMV USA. Model 656 - Year -1930-31. This is Special Edition!! Rare Radio. 3) Graetz Germany. Model Super 260WT Radio. Year 1938-39. 4) Marconi USA Model -7100. Year 1942 This was a gift to me by my Friend Mr. Giri Tirumala. 5) PYE London – PE69 Radiogram with Garrard Changer – 1950. Very complex set. 6) Murphy UK – Model Tu126. – Year 1940 , yet to restore. 7) Zenith USA – Year 1938. 8) Philips Holland Sets – 12 Nbs , Which are in year range 1948 to 1958. 9) Blaupunkt Salvador 2575 Export Radio – Very Complicated. Year 1952. 10) Grundig 975 WE Radio – 3 sets 11) PYE London – 6 More sets Yet to restore – year 1948-55 12) EKCO USA – 1938 Set. Yet To restore. 13) BUSH London – 5 Sets. 14) Philips India sets. – 13+ 20 Recently I got Philips Holland top dial set, Pilot USA F65B, Ferranti GB Sets, Raymond US sets, RCA sets, Pilot Bluepeter set, and many more. And many more local made sets like Ramco, UMS, National Ekco etc. My objective is to collect , UNIQUE Sets and open a small Radio Museum in my place. I opened the 'SHPRTWAVE RDIO MUSUEM' on 13th Feb 2019 on World Radio Day. This is to showcase the bygone Radio Technology for younger generation. This is also first Radio Museum of India and Technical Radio Musuem. Your site is the best for all these resources. |
